From Our Family to Yours
Our family comes from Fontechiari, a small town in Italy’s Ciociara region between Rome and Naples. The cooking there is simple, rustic, and full of flavor—built around fresh ingredients, family recipes, and meals meant to be shared.
Our food reflects the traditions of the regions surrounding our family’s home. From Rome come bold, savory flavors like pecorino, black pepper, artichokes, hearty meats, and rich sauces. From Naples come bright tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, olive oil, mozzarella, seafood, and a little heat from cherry peppers. Ciociara cooking brings it all home with handmade pasta, beans and greens, roasted peppers, slow-cooked meats, and comforting dishes like spaghetti and meatballs and Mamma Rosa’s chicken soup.
Since opening in Mont Pleasant in 1974, we’ve prepared these familiar flavors the way our family has always enjoyed them—with care, generosity, and Mamma Rosa’s secret ingredient: love. We hope every meal at Ferrari’s feels like being welcomed into our home.
